The Nature Of All Things

The intrication of mankind and nature.

The Nature of All Things examines the interconnectedness of humanity and nature, questioning the conventional view that separates the two.
This project explores identity and the relationship between man and his environment, highlighting the parallels between natural and human-made forms,  emphasizing that humans are not apart from nature but an intrinsic part of it.
Julianne Rose often uses mannequins and dolls as metaphors in her work, the almost-human appearance allows viewers to identify with the subject while maintaining emotional distance.
Exploring the singular question of form, the artist blurs the boundaries between humans and nature, challenging the notion of their separation and delving into the interconnectedness between humanity and our natural world, whilst probing the intricate shapes and structures that define both.

The Nature of All Things reminds us that all elements, including humans, are inherently part of nature and emphasizes the profound impact of identity on our perception and interaction with the environment. Through her images, Julianne Rose provokes a poetical and critical reflection on how we perceive and interact with our environment, particularly in the face of ongoing ecological challenges.
